ambient amber music
Kas sena, užmiršta, bet neišnykę.
Gelianti viduje patirtis, intuicija, nuojauta,
"aklas" ėjimas.
Pagrindinė mintis,
konceptualus pamatas yra prikelti, skleisti mintis
iš gilių etninių šaltinių (šulinių), kurie užgožti
šiuolaikinio gyvenimo būdo, technologijų, socializacijos,
ir t.t.. Netiesmukiškai įvedamos senosios pajautos,
atveriamas juslinis kelias mintims, fantazijoms,
savęs nevaržant, neribojant. Savotiškas pabėgimas,
Orakulo (pa)siekimas; išminties, instinktų, svajų,
darbų harmonija. Su dalele mitų ir reminiscencijų
Wejdas
In 2004 WEJDAS
celebrate the 10th anniversary of amber/ambient
sound making. It is just a little step in pursuing
the Oracle, but still
These past 10 years WEJDAS
have recorded 8 full-length albums, collaborating
in some other neo-folk/ethereal and experimental
music projects. Since 1998 the act was suspended,
but from January, 2004 WEJDAS started creating
Baltic ethno-based ambient again (with soft electronics
used in the last work). There are plans for the
near future to record an album of pure sound using
no computer, etc., as the essential idea of the
project is live recording from Lithuanian woods,
meadows, with minimum manipulations
Since 1995-1996
both members of WEJDAS run "solo" projects
exploring and aiming at neo-folk/ethereal, electronic
(Donatas aka DONIS), and electroacoustic/drone
music (Darius aka ENSEMBLE SP), environmental
recordings.
The evolution
of WEJDAS conceptual background is based on intuition,
suspicion, inner/implicit experiences, "blind"
walk
"That what is old, forgotten, but not
defunct". It means spreading the ideas from
deep ethnic springs (wells) that are drowned by
contemporary lifestyle, technology, political
thinking, socialization, etc. Subtle introduction
of ancient feelings, opening the door to ideas,
fantasies, without limiting or constricting oneself.
[Texts are more like surrealistic, but the semantic
field of the meaning is very wide.] Odd escape,
pursuing the Oracle, harmony of wisdom, instincts,
visions, works. With some myths and reminiscences
